HPI has been selected as the vehicle check partner for Drive Motor Retail, as the result of a highly competitive tendering process. HPI's quality service, combined with a high level of customer service made it the top choice for Drive Motor Retail. Following the closure of TDS, HPI will provide Drive Motor Retail with the benefit of the HPI Check brand, as a seal of quality on its stock.

The lengthy tender process included presentations and a trial period at Drive Motor Retail's Bristol Central office. With TDS ceasing trading, Drive Motor Retail needed a vehicle information provider that could deliver a fast, efficient service from a name it could trust.

Chris Elvidge, Finance Director for Drive Motor Retail comments, "Our trials revealed that HPI's service had the edge. The users felt that it offered a much better, easier to use and more efficient service than TDS. HPI's passion and desire for the account, combined with the support its account manager would give us, made it the perfect partner for Drive Motor Retail. I am confident that this three year agreement with HPI will give us the confidence to enhance and develop our service, taking the business forward."

Daniel Burgess, Director of Automotive at HPI, concludes, "This is fantastic win for HPI and further illustrates our position as the UK's leading vehicle information provider. Our focus on a personal service, combined with the strength of the HPI brand and reputation made us the first choice for Drive Motor Retail."

About the RAC

First formed in 1897, the RAC has been looking after the needs of its members and championing the interests of drivers for more than 120 years.

Today it has more than eight million members and is one of the UK’s most progressive motoring organisations, providing services for both private and business motorists. Whether it's roadside assistanceinsurancebuying a used carvehicle inspections and checkslegal services or up-to-the-minute traffic and travel information – the RAC offers a solution for all motoring needs. The RAC is committed to making motoring easier, safer, more affordable and more enjoyable for drivers and road users.

The RAC is the motorist’s champion and campaigns to support the interests of its members and UK drivers at a national level. This includes voicing concerns about the increasing cost of motoring, particularly the price of fuel and the high level of tax levied on it, advancing levels of road safety, and supporting the needs of all drivers, from young to old.

The RAC’s annual Report on Motoring – first published in 1989 – is one of a kind and provides a clear insight into the concerns and issues facing today’s motorists.

For the very latest news on UK fuel prices, check RAC Fuel Watch. It provides a comprehensive guide to the latest UK unleaded petrol and diesel prices – both at the wholesale level and at the pump - and tracks these prices daily to help drivers check if the price they pay to fill up is a fair one.
