Press release -
RAC named 'Best Online Motor Insurance Provider'
RAC has been named ‘Best Online Motor Insurance Provider’ at the prestigious Your Money Awards.
The highly sought after and keenly contested awards, now in their 15th year, recognise the achievements of top product providers in the financial market. On the way to victory at a ceremony in the City of London RAC beat some stiff competition, including LV and the Post Office.
The accolade is recognition of RAC’s work to become a significant player in the car insurance market and was based not only on price competitiveness, but also on the quality of service given throughout the customer journey. In fact, it was a panel of customers who named RAC best online provider, having already impressed the Your Money judges to make it on to the shortlist.
Mark Godfrey, Head of RAC Insurance, said: “It’s great to pick up an award for car insurance because people know us best for Breakdown. This demonstrates we are providing insurance products are trusted and valued. The award is also fitting recognition of all the hard work our insurance team has put in along the way.”
RAC’s insurance portfolio (www.rac.co.uk/insurance) includes products covering cars, caravans, motorhomes, motorbikes, classic cars, minibuses and trucks as well as home and accident and legal.

About the RAC
First formed in 1897, the RAC has been looking after the needs of its members and championing the interests of drivers for more than 120 years.
Today it has more than eight million members and is one of the UK’s most progressive motoring organisations, providing services for both private and business motorists. The RAC is committed to making motoring easier, safer, more affordable and more enjoyable for drivers and road users.
The RAC is the motorist’s champion and campaigns to support the interests of its members and UK drivers at a national level. This includes voicing concerns about the increasing cost of motoring, particularly the price of fuel and the high level of tax levied on it, advancing levels of road safety, and supporting the needs of all drivers, from young to old.
The RAC’s annual Report on Motoring – first published in 1989 – is one of a kind and provides a clear insight into the concerns and issues facing today’s motorists.
