This month marks the one-year milestone of RAC providing motor legal expenses insurance across Atlanta. RAC Legal Services have been working alongside Atlanta, one of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK, as its legal expenses insurance (LEI) provider since 2021.

Awarded Personal Lines Broker of the Year twice in 2021, Atlanta includes the Swinton, Autonet and Carole Nash brands as well as recent additions Be Wiser and Marmalade. Since starting with Autonet Home LEI in January 2021, the RAC’s relationship with Atlanta has broadened to include Home and Motor LEI for other brands including Swinton which means it is covering more than 700,000 policies.

As Atlanta’s LEI provider, RAC Legal Services provides expert advice and representation for customers’ motor and home legal issues. This is provided in-house by qualified legal advisors and claims handlers, with the support of the RAC’s dedicated panel solicitors.

RAC Legal Services General Manager Paul Evans said:

“We are delighted to mark this occasion and to continue to be Atlanta’s chosen provider. We were up against significant competition from the LEI market when we initially tendered and it has been great working with Atlanta over the last year to help them continue their success. This partnership, with Atlanta’s high-quality heritage brands, represents significant growth for our personal lines legal expenses insurance business.”

Atlanta Head of Ancillary Sean Doolan added:

“From tendering through to the implementation of both home legal and motor legal for the Atlanta entities, we have been really impressed with the RAC team’s proactiveness, flexibility, technical understanding and willingness to work with us to ensure our needs are met and schemes are delivered on time. The work ethic shown is a great reflection of the RAC brand and we look forward to continuing our prosperous relationship together.”

RAC Legal Services lists the UK’s largest general insurer Aviva, BGL Group, Sainsbury’s, Towergate and the Camping and Caravanning Club as clients. It also provides free legal advice to its 2 million plus RAC members.
