RAC Insurance has won ‘Car Insurance Provider of the Year’ for the fifth consecutive time at the prestigious Moneyfactscompare.co.uk Awards 2026.

The awards – which are considered a badge of quality and are widely respected throughout the industry – combine feedback from hundreds of thousands of consumers with Moneyfacts expert in-house analysis, with categories spanning the savings, mortgage, banking and insurance markets. Previously known as the Moneyfacts Consumer Awards, they were rebranded in 2025 to better reflect the vital role visitors to websites play.

In addition to securing the ‘Car Insurance Provider of Year’ award every year since 2022, RAC Insurance first won the title in 2019. At the 2026 event RAC Insurance also awarded Highly Commended Travel Insurance Provider of the Year.

RAC Insurance chief executive David Buxton said: “Being named ‘Car Insurance Provider of Year’ by Moneyfacts for the fifth straight year is an incredible accolade, not least because it’s based on the views of hundreds of thousands of consumers alongside an in-house panel of industry experts.

“This very clearly demonstrates the high quality of our car insurance product from point of sale through to the way claims are handled and the overall level of satisfaction our customers.”
